In 2004, 109 Large Munsterlanders were born in North America and 72 (66%) were entered in Natural Ability tests in 2005, at 17 months or younger. Of the 72 dogs, 81% of dogs passed. Ten youngsters ran a second time to get their act together, for an overall passing rate of 73%.

Judging from those scores, our LMs excelled in finding birds but given their strong retrieving instinct some of them thought they'd bypass the pointing. Given the dogs' cooperative nature and balance this is generally no problem to correct in training for hunting season on wild birds.
