Documentation for "Eligible to Breed"

Applying for Eligibility. When you believe that your dog has met the Large Munsterlander Club of North America^® requirements and wish to breed or make your sire available for breeding, mail the following documentation to the Total-dog Profile Keepers:

copy of registration certificate and pedigree (i.e. front and back)
copy of hip dysplasia certification
photo showing a full side of the dog (right preferred) (hard copy or electronic copy
copy of test scores (NA and/or other tests)
measurements including height, length, and weight and age of dog when measurements are taken.

Total-dog Profile is also required (if you would like an example email Sherri Hallwyler at hooch@teleport.com) The text for the TDP should be sent electronically in Word with a separate photo saved as a .jpg file. The pedigree will be added by the TDP Organizer, with pertinent updated information. Photos against grass or sky come out better than against a "busy" background since they will be printed in black & white in hard copy.

In the case of new kennels, a unique kennel name should be submitted by the owners of females to the Breed Warden at joe.schmutz@usask.ca.

If you are asking about updating the website relative to your dog's eligibility or kennel name or litter planned then please write e-mail

Hip Dysplasia Screening. Hips can be certified free of hip dysplasia by board-certified radiologists at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine at Saskatoon, Saskatchewan (minimum age 18 months), or at the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals in Columbia, Missouri (minimum age 24 months). Your local vet's word is a good indication but not certification for breeding purposes. The dog's x-ray should have its registered name or registration number (which is also its tattoo) and the date taken. X-rays should be of good quality but need not be taken under anesthetic, if your dog is cooperative.

The x-rays taken after 18 months can be mailed by you or your (do NOT use UPS or couriers to Canada because of customs charges) vet to:

You should enclose a check for $32 U.S. or $50 Can. payable to LMCNA with the x-ray. If you want x-rays returned, add another $3. Otherwise Joe keeps them on file. Do not state a value above $5 on the package since that is all the film itself is actually worth.
Alternatively, x-rays taken after 18 months can be mailed directly to the College if a check for $82 in Canadian funds or a major credit Card number is provided. (The club receives a special rate if the handling is done through the Breed Warden.) Mail to:
